Dev Form Faker is a browser extension that helps developers and QA testers fill web forms with realistic fake data. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Data Collection

What we collect

• Local storage preferences: Your selected locale and M-Pesa phone number are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This data never leaves your device unless you use AI mode.

What we do NOT collect

• Personal information
• Browsing history
• Form data you enter on websites
• Passwords or sensitive credentials

AI Mode (Optional)

When you use the optional AI fill feature:

• Page context (URL, title, form field labels) is sent to our API server to generate contextual fake data
• No actual form values or personal data are transmitted
• Requests are not logged or stored beyond processing

M-Pesa Billing (Optional)

If you use M-Pesa payments:

• Your phone number is sent to process the payment via Safaricom's M-Pesa API
• Payment status is stored locally to track transaction completion
• We do not store payment details on our servers beyond transaction processing

Data Storage

All preferences are stored locally using Chrome's storage.local API:

• Selected locale preference
• API configuration
• M-Pesa phone number (if provided)
• Payment session status

Third-Party Services

• OpenAI API: Used for AI-powered form filling (optional feature)
• Safaricom M-Pesa: Used for payment processing (optional feature)

Your Rights

You can clear all stored data by:

1. Right-clicking the extension icon
2. Selecting "Remove from Chrome"
3. Or clearing extension data in Chrome settings
